webradio don't work after installing FM25V05 Serial F-RAM Memory

Hi! I've installed ramtron FM25V05-G memory module, but radio didn't work.
It worked (not well, with short pauses during playback) before (without
f-ram). But after installation it don't want to work at all. I can see
pause icon for approximately 2 seconds, and then play icon for 0.5 seconds
on display in cycle. MP3 files played fine from microSD card. Do you have
any ideas? Thanks!

Hi,

Does the problem exists on every stream and how fast is your internet
connection?

Regards
Andreas

Yes, the problem exists on every stream (128 Kbps, 256 Kbps and so on). The
speed of my internet connection is about 1.5 Mbps, and i can listen online
radio stations on my PC without any delays.

Sincerely yours,
John Zvezdovsky

Is the radio direct connected to the router and which version of the
WebRadio do you own (V2 or V3) and which display?

Can you also test the software v0.06?

Andreas

The radio is directly connected to the router. I have WebRadio V3, and
display from Siemens S65. I can't find software version 0.06 at
http://code.google.com/p/arm-webradio/downloads/list. Where i can find it?

Regards,
John

With LPH88 S65-Display?

Is the problem also on streams with lower bit rates (<=64kbit/s)?

The display is LS020. I've tried bootloader v0.06 and v0.07 with firmware
v0.06 and the result was, that webradio didn't work (it didn't load at
all). I have also tried bootloader v0.02 with firmware v0.06, webradio
loads, but the result was like with the third situation. I will try to
describe verious situations using video materials. In all videos i was
listening the same radiostations using PC without any delays during
playback. This means, that bandwidth of my Internet connection is enough to
listen online radio's without any delays.

1. With f-ram, firmware v0.02 (without bootloader), audio stream 128 Kbps.

In this video i've noticed one feature: playback from PC was being ahead of
playback from webradio.

2. With f-ram, firmware v0.02 (without bootloader), audio stream 64 Kbps.

With bitrate 64 Kbps playback from webradio was being ahead of playback
from PC.

3. With f-ram, firmware v0.11 (bootloader v0.07), various bitrates.

4. Without f-ram, firmware v0.11 (bootloader v0.07), various bitrates.
