Atmel STK600

The STK600 manual is in the help of Atmel's AVR-Studio.

If the STK600 is not detected by the computer, try to recover the firmware:

1. Power off the STK600 and remove all routing cards and targets
2. Hold down the Program button and power on
3. Run AVR-Studio and select in the menu Tools -> STK600 Upgrade
4. Follow the instructions...

External VTG:
Ensure that the VTARGET jumper is removed and connect the external source to one of the VTG pins on any of the PORT headers. Always connect common ground (GND) when using an external VTG voltage.
Also ensure that VTG is larger than any of the AREF voltages.
Note: The STK600 must always be powered when using an external VTARGET supply. If VTG voltage is supplied from an external source while the main power switch is in the off position the STK600 may become damaged.
